The weather has not been a very good friend to Wayne County Speedway this year and it appeared on Saturday morning that the very heavy rains that fell over the last few days plus the early morning showers would force Brad Malcuit to cancel the program.However,if you know Brad,you know that it's going to take a lot more than that to defeat him.As the morning light came,showers also continued to fall on the 3/8 mile facility.With the loss of about three to four hours of sunshine forced the staff to really hustle to even get any kind of a raceable surface put together.They did a great job to present a very tacky track to the competitors.

We thank all our loyal fans and competitors for your continued support! We are racers ourselves and the last thing we want to do is cancel races. We "dodged the bullet" our first two nights but unfortunately Mother Nature won this past Saturday. We WILL be racing this Saturday 8-1-09 with our very competitive field of Late Models, Tri-State Modifeds, Pure Stocks, Cruisers, and Mini Stocks. Our official NEW web sight will be up and running by this weekend and we will be able to keep it up to date unlike the previous sight. Admission prices are $15.00, 55 years and older $12.00, 15 years and younger are FREE, pit pass is $30.00. Gates open at 3:00, hot laps 5:30, with racing at 7:00. Keith Berner tops the field at WCS
Keith Berner finished in third place in the dash for the six fastest qualifiers on Saturday night in the Super Late Models at Wayne County .Speedway and drove to his first win of the 2009 season.

Ready For Round 2
A full program of dirt track racing is scheduled for this Saturday night at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville Ohio featuring Super Late Models, Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Cruisers. Last week race fans were witness to incredible door to door action in both Late Model and Modified divisions with last lap dominators jeopardized by a couple of hard chargers. Congratulations to Steve Shaver and Darrick Hubbard on well earned victories, thanks to all competitors for a great show. See you this week!

New Chapter Begins at WCS
July 11, 2009 - Orrville OH - Easily described as one of the best dirt race tracks in Ohio, Wayne County Speedway almost folded operations recently until a former track champion stepped in and saved the day much to the delight of race fans everywhere.

I just talked to long time racer and engine builder Brad Malcuit, and discussed his lease of Wayne County Speedway and reopening the shuttered facility.

Wayne County Speedway drops Ohio Speedweek from its schedule
The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions would like to apologize to its fans and all those involved with Ohio Speedweek, but due to circumstances beyond the series control the race originally scheduled for Wayne County Speedway on Monday, June, 22 has been cancelled by the track.
