Rocky Top Raceway prepares for “Fall Classic” October 17th
The Rocky Top Raceway is preparing to close out the 2009 racing season with the “Fall Classic” on Saturday, October 17th. This unique and high paying race will feature special event races for all four classes. Late Models will race for $3,000 to win with Modifieds-$2,000 to win, Bombers-$1,000 to win, and Mod Lites-$500 to win. Over 100 race cars are expected to be in attendance.

RTR prepares for “Engines Inc. 50” September 4th
The Rocky Top Raceway is preparing for it’s biggest race of 2009, the “3rd Annual Engines Inc. 50” on Friday, September 4th. Many of the regions best dirt Late Model drivers are expected to be in attendance to go after the $5,000 top prize and prestige of being an “Engines Inc. 50” winner.

Chris Andrews wins thrilling 410 Sprint race at RTR!
With a big crowd, good car count, and great racing, the first ever “Les Boggs Open Wheel Shootout” at RTR was a huge success! Cars from Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland came to race at RTR. The 410 Sprint Car field featured former World of Outlaws winners and a former National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Rookie of the Year driver.

410 Sprint Cars set to invade RTR August 14th!
The most anticipated race in the six year history of Rocky Top Raceway is coming on Friday, August 14th with the “Les Boggs Open Wheel Shootout”. The race will feature the first ever appearance of the 410 outlaw Sprint Cars paying $2,000 to win, Mod Lites-$1,000 to win, and Modifieds-$650 to win.

Boggs, Harmon, Gray, Stone win at Rocky Top
A good crowd and car count was on hand at Rocky Top for the July 10th “Meet the Drivers” and “Double Points Night”. A huge announcement was also made during intermission as RTR will host 410 Sprint Cars on Friday, August 14th for a 30 lap, $2,000 to win show.

Boggs, Harmon, Dunn, Stone win at Rocky Top!
Despite nearly two inches of rain in the two days prior to raceday, the Rocky Top Raceway persevered and was able to get the track ready to race on May 29th. The track surface held up very good as it was the best it had been all season, which is very impressive considering the heavy rains.

Boggs and Holliday win GCP Engines Twin 30’s at RTR
Despite threatening weather, the Rocky Top Raceway persevered and was able to complete the “4th annual GCP Engines Twin 30’s” on May 15th. The track was lightning fast as Jackie Boggs recorded the third fastest lap in RTR history at 13.590 seconds in time trials.
