After sitting out the entire 2009 season due to the economy, I have some great news! No, I will not be racing every week and I am not sure I will race at all in 2010, but I have moved to a new role. Mid-season last year I took on a role at Lorain County Speedway as a pit official and flagman for practice and qualifying, and it was a truly rewarding move and I love doing that every Saturday night. I will continue in that role in 2010 and will add Sundays to my schedule as an official with the Power City Tuff Truck Series. The following is the announcement of the Tuff Trucks coming to Lorain in 2010, they will race on Sundays and will provide some great action. Please stop by and while you are there, ask to see me!

Tuff Trucks Coming to Lorain County Speedway in 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(SOUTH AMHERST, OH) Lorain County Speedway will be hosting a new form of racing in 2010, with the addition of the Tuff Truck Series. The Tuff Truck Series will race on Sunday afternoons on a dirt course in the infield of the 3/8 mile asphalt oval. The course will include small jumps, right and left turns and a few surprises. The trucks will be four and six cylinder two wheel drive compact pickup trucks such as the Chevrolet S-10, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota and Toyota Tacoma. Very few modifications are permitted other than stripping the interior and removing the glass.

A unique element of the Tuff Truck Series is the technical inspection procedure. Prior to the event, all trucks will be lined up on the pit road with the hood up, allowing other drivers to see exactly what the competition has brought to the event. A safety inspection and general inspection will be completed by speedway officials prior to any truck competing as well.

Events will be contested on Sunday afternoons with Gates Opening at 12:00PM, Hotlaps at 1:00 and Racing scheduled to begin at 2:00PM. Stay tuned to www.ohiotufftrucks.com for further information. Any questions may be sent to Jim Foose at toughtrucks@gmail.com.
