MAFFETT, SWIM, & MORRIS BEATS THE RAIN AT HILLTOP
A heavy rain shower just after the gates opened backed the start of the races Saturday night at Hilltop Speedway and then another shower hit just as the Snyder Brothers Tri-State Modifieds took to the track as they were able to get just one lap of their feature in due to a caution flag and before they could go green again, the rain increased and ended the night. The racing action in between showers was some of the closest action this year.
WISECARVER CARVES OUT HILLTOP'S DIRTY THIRTY MOD WIN; WATSON WHIPS UP WIN IN 1st MINI WEDGE DTWC
With two big features on tap on Guerne Heights Drive In night, a huge crowd piled into Hilltop Speedway Saturday night on a very pleasant night for racing. Up first was the first ever Mini Wedge DTWC with 22 youngsters taking the green flag and it took Tray Watson only three laps to grab the lead from his 14th starting spot and then leave the field way behind as the 11 year old from Weston, Wv and his Sam Watson Trucking, Tire & Rubber Inc., & WOTR 96.3 fm #17t as he lapped all but second place Hunter Cline. Cline, the first heat winner, had a race long battle with second heat winner Jordan Doty and Chase Osborne as they finished in that order. Gunner Travis filled out the top five as Blake Morris won the third heat.

The Street Stocks were the featured class on a hot muggy night that turned into a race with Mother Nature on Danville Outdoor night at Hilltop Speedway.

Another big crowd saw 105 race cars in the pits at Hilltop Speedway on a beautiful but cool night that was full of close racing.
MOREHOUSE, BECKETT, & HEYDER 2 FOR 2 AT HILLTOP; DROWN & PATTERSON MOTOR TO FIRST WINS
Warmer but windy conditions brought out another huge crowd and a big field of cars for the second night of racing at Wardell's Hilltop Speedway on Easter Egg Hunt night for the kids. Wooster's Doug Drown started on the pole with Jeremy Canada along side and for the first six laps they would lead the way for the Super Late Model feature.

A big crowd didn't let the chilly conditions bother them as Hilltop Speedway opened up the 2010 racing season as five drivers remembered how to get back to victory lane from last season.

As the 2009 season ended, the future of Hilltop Speedway was uncertain until early January when Jesse and Tracy Wardell purchased the Holmes County speedway. Since then, the Wardell's have been busy getting things ready for the upcoming race season.
33 HILLTOP SPEEDWAY DRIVERS POST FEATURE WINS IN '09
Under the direction of Mick Conkle Motorsports, 2009 was an exciting year of racing at the 1/3 mile oval just south of Millersburg as 33 drivers in six class' of cars found victory lane.
HILLTOP SPEEDWAY DRIVERS COLLECT AWARDS
The 2009 season awards banquet for Hilltop Speedway was held Friday night at the Coshocton Moose Family Center. Following a delicious meal, promoter Mick Conkle thanked all his staff, drivers and crews, sponsers, and fans for a great year. Then the awards were handed out as each of the five champions received trophies and jackets while second and third place drivers being awarded plaques and the rest of the top ten received pit pass' for the 2010 season.
Tim Shaffer climbs his way to victory at Hilltop Speedway
With the O’Reilly Circuit of Champions schedule down to four races left, Tim Shaffer put an exclamation point on his bid for the 2009 title by winning his seventh race of the season. At the front of the pack for most of the night Shaffer battled with a couple of Rookie-of-the-Year contenders in order to celebrate in Victory Lane.
